ESCA CancerSupport (ESCA CS) is a non-profit association of volunteer and paid staff whose mission is to provide emotional support, practical help, well-being activities and a welcoming community in English for anyone affected by cancer. ESCA CS serves the international community living in the Geneva, Vaud cantons and the French border areas.

Description:

Members of the Board are part of a non-executive board who are responsible for the association’s Mission, Vision and strategic direction, financial stability and holding the management team accountable for the day to day running of the association.

As part of our succession planning we are now looking to recruit up to two new Members of the Board to join the existing board in April 2022 and replace two outgoing Board members in 2023.

ESCA CS Board Members have a good understanding of our community and its needs, with a pre-existing passion for the cause and represent the association with professionalism, engagement and commitment. Ideal candidates will have fundraising and marketing expertise along with significant general business acumen.

The position is unpaid. Being a member of the board provides the opportunity to make a difference in the region’s English speaking community for those faced with cancer. S/he will have the opportunity to attend special events that ESCA CS organizes or is invited to.
