Phoebe McNelis, a pupil at Corsham Primary School Broadwood, wrote Kindness, a story reflecting the love and support that she received from friends and family during the incredibly difficult time when her mum Charly underwent cancer treatment in the middle of the Covid-19 pandemic. She entered it into a competition organised by children’s author Helen Brian and was crowned the winner.
