The Oncolexic is an English-French phrasebook developed specifically to help cancer patients whose first language is not French to discuss their cancer treatment with their healthcare providers.
It is intended to help patients and caregivers to:
Prepare necessary questions,
Explain a medical problem,
Make simple requests in a medical context, and
Understand the treatment and procedures offered
We hope this booklet will enable patients to be proactive while relieving some of the stress caused by cancer.
To read the Oncolexic online or download a pdf version please click the ‘Download’ button below.
We have used a simple pdf format that should be compatible with most devices but we have added hyperlinks to the table of contents to help with navigation.
We are hoping to make a more interactive e-version available soon so please check back here regularly.
We have a limited number of printed copies available for those who would like them.
Individuals and organisations wishing to order printed copies of the Oncolexic for themselves, their patients or clients can use the form below.
Like all of the services Cancer Support Switzerland provides, the Oncolexic is being offered free of charge.
