Online Yoga, a class for cancer patients undergoing treatment or who are in recovery and prefer a more gentle practice.
Open to anyone with cancer whether currently undergoing treatment or recovering from treatment. Led by a specially trained instructor.
No previous experience is needed. Exercises are adapted to the levels and needs of the participants.
Physical activity has been shown to reduce the possibility of relapses and recurrences of cancer. With yoga for cancer patients, gentle techniques of breathing exercises, movements and mindfulness improve the body’s respiratory and circulatory systems, activate the parasympathetic nervous system, reduce anxiety and increase peacefulness. Mindfulness techniques— centering and calming—increase clarity and allow for better management of challenging emotions.
