Peer support

Peer supporters are trained and supervised volunteers who have had first-hand experience with cancer.

Need a hand to hold, a ride to an appointment, a trip to the grocery store? Our trained and supervised peer supporters, who have first-hand experience with cancer, can:

  • simply listen
  • provide transportation
  • shop for groceries
  • help interpret during doctor’s appointments
  • translate documents
  • walk the dog
  • make a home visit

  • “You were wonderful today… being there waiting for me when I was released. It was so nice having you to call on for that help! Ladies, you are truly angels!”

  • “Just knowing you’re all there with all your experience, caring and insight is a huge help — definitely makes me feel less vulnerable during those down times.”
