Operations & Centre Coordinator – 80%

Cancer Support Switzerland is a non-profit association whose mission is to provide emotional support, practical help, well-being activities and a welcoming community in English to anyone affected by cancer in the Lake Geneva region. Our team consists mainly of volunteers and some paid professionals in a very caring environment.

We have seen increasing demand for cancer support services in English and have exciting plans to further develop the organization to fulfil our vision that “No one faces cancer alone”.

Our future Operations and Centre Coordinator (80%) shares our vision and passion. In this position you will be the central point of contact and coordination for Cancer Support Switzerland. You ensure that the Cancer Support Switzerland centre is a fully functional and welcoming space for all the work and activities of the organization. In this role you will also be responsible for IT and technical systems, finance and administration.

Applicants should have previous experience in a similar role, excellent inter-personal skills and be fluent in English. Your strong IT skills, experience with Salesforce and the MS Office 365 environment is a plus. Your ability to multitask while being exceptionally well organized will set you apart from other candidates. A good working knowledge of French will be essential. A valid work permit is required.

Communication & Awareness Manager 80%

Our future Communication & Awareness Manager (80%) shares our passion. In this position, you will take the lead on increasing awareness of Cancer Support Switzerland in the community through effective communication, successful outreach programmes and focused events. You develop organizational strategies for communication, outreach, awareness and events, and lead on their implementation. You also oversee teams of volunteers to support work in all of these areas.

Demonstrable experience in communications, marketing, outreach and events, particularly in a non-profit context, is essential. The right candidate will have strong communication skills in English, and a good grasp of a variety of IT solutions for communications. You will be confident in managing and coordinating teams of volunteers. As part of our small team you will work in an exceptionally beautiful setting and benefit from our collaborative culture.
