What is Steps for CancerSupport:
Steps for CancerSupport is a fitness and fundraising challenge, bringing together teams and individuals through exercise to raise critical funds that allow ESCA CancerSupport to provide free cancer support services to clients in Switzerland.
Join us on Thursday 24 March at our open house and kickoff event, March for CancerSupport. Steps for CS will start on Thursday 24 March and end on Tuesday 12 April.
About the Challenge:
Every step, every day, everyone together.
Every year, over 19 million people worldwide are diagnosed with cancer*. Together we can help. We will take 19 million steps every day for 20 days to raise awareness and funds to make sure no one faces cancer alone.
*A note on the maths: The IARC estimates that 19.3 million people worldwide were diagnosed with cancer in 2020. 19.3 million steps for 20 days is 386 million steps total, our collective challenge goal.
How to get involved:
Whether you are an individual looking for extra motivation to reach your recommended 10,000 steps per day or a group doing team training for your next marathon, register for Steps for CancerSupport and make each step count for local cancer patients and their loved ones.
Given the changing Covid situation please refer to government advice while taking part in the Challenge and remember that teams can be virtual as well as in-person.
Steps for CancerSupport 2022 is now finished and donations are closed. To donate to ESCA CancerSupport, visit our general donation page here.
We would love to hear from organisations willing to convert our kilometres into cash for ESCA CancerSupport services. Contact firstname.lastname@example.org for details of our sponsor benefit packages.
