Although I have only been volunteering with Cancer Support Switzerland for a few years, I have been lucky enough to wear a variety of “hats”. I started out by organising the volunteers for the wonderful Dragonboat Festival we used to hold. I then trained to become a Peer Supporter and, in that guise, I help with the heART Space support group. I would say that I help out at the Gardening Group, but I’m not sure that quality-controlling the cakes and taking photos of the seasonal changes happening in the garden count as help!! I have recently started facilitating the Community Spaces which include Walk’nTalk, Karaoke Crew, Knit Knot Natter, with more in the pipeline
Last but not least, I format the monthly newsletters ready to go out.
I love all of my hats because they are so varied and put me in contact with a wide range of people within the Cancer Support Switzerland community.
