First, participants register as an Open Team, Corporate Team, or as an Individual. Each team can consist of 2-10 members stepping from anywhere in the world. Corporate Teams benefit from brand exposure. As a team-building exercise, it can also help colleagues improve their relationships. Contact us for more information on how you can get your company involved.
Next, everyone tracks their progress through the Pacer app for 20 days starting on 2 May 2024 and ending on 21 May. Each participant and team is listed by their total (accumulative) step count in the app and also in our Stepper’s Space. It’s a competition for glory but also a time to beat personal step goals. The challenge is open to all, regardless of fitness level, who are at least 16 years old on day one of the challenge.
Participants can fundraise by hosting an event, finding a personal sponsor, or simply encouraging friends and family to donate! Each participant can download a Fundraising Package complete with ideas, tips, and graphics to share on social media. Top fundraisers will be listed under their team names for the Fundraising Challenge on our Steppers Space page. The Fundraising Challenge is from 1 February to 7 June. Every Swiss Franc counts! Donations help us keep all of our services at Cancer Support Switzerland free of charge to anyone affected by cancer.

The 2023 edition of Steps for CancerSupport is now finished! We had 1,450 Steppers take 331 million steps around the world to raise awareness for cancer. Thank you to everyone who donated to support our services. Together we raised over CHF 140,000!

Steps for CancerSupport is a fitness and fundraising challenge. Participants use the Pacer app to track their steps for 20 days to compete against others, beat their own fitness goals, and raise money for ESCA CancerSupport. All proceeds allow ESCA CancerSupport to provide free support services to people affected by cancer in Switzerland.
Participants register as an Open Team, Corporate Team, or as an Individual. Each team can consist of 2-10 members stepping from anywhere in the world. Corporate Teams benefit from brand exposure (contact us for more information).
Everyone tracks their progress through the Pacer app for 20 days to see who are the top teams and individuals. It is a competition for glory but also a time to beat personal step goals. It also makes a great teambuilding exercise for your company!
