They did it!
Chris and Erin braved the cold. We would like to give a big THANK YOU to Erin and Chris. Also, we would like to thank everyone who donated to this fundraiser. We are happy to report this event raised a total of CHF 1,606.Â
COVID 19 Omicron Update
Given the appearance of the Omicron variant and its impact on the management of the pandemic, we feel it wise to hold the Polar Bear Swim in various separate locations so we will NOT be gathering at Port Choiseul for the swim.
Polar Bear Swimmers – please swim in your usual favourite spot and send us photos of you in the water (chris.swan@cancersupport.ch) so that we can put them on the website.
Polar Bear Supporters – please show your support by donating in recognition of your favourite Polar Bear and spreading the word that your Polar Bear is swimming.
The swimmers are back! Building on the success of last year’s Winter Swim we are planning a new fundraising event: the New Year’s Eve Polar Bear Swim. And we want you to join us!
We’re going to jump in the lake as the weather gets colder…and colder…and colder…… We invite people to join us from around the lake and all over the world. We’ll post pictures and news on the website to chronicle the cold, the craziness, and the comedy bobble hats as we prepare for the big day!
Please help us by donating to this craziness – we would love to raise more than last year!!
If you too would like to become a polar bear in support of Cancer Support Switzerland, Â please email Chris (chris.swan@cancersupport.ch) and Erin (eringoeres@gmail.com).
